Independent Policy Research Challenge

Conduct an in-depth investigation into a global issue that interests you. This project allows you to apply theoretical knowledge to real-world political challenges while developing academic research and writing skills.

 

  • Select a topic such as diplomacy, conflict resolution, human rights, or global trade.
  • Formulate a focused research question with your tutor’s guidance.
  • Analyse policy reports, historical events, or case studies to support your argument.
  • Write a short policy paper or research report presenting your findings.
  • Deliver your conclusions through a professional presentation and receive feedback.

Diplomatic Simulation Challenge

Work collaboratively with your peers to experience international relations in practice through dynamic simulations and role-play. You’ll act as delegates, diplomats, or leaders, negotiating solutions to pressing global issues.

  • Represent the perspectives of different countries or organisations.
